The Zephyr Trio provides music for weddings, parties, and private events in Manhattan, on Long Island, in Westchester County, and beyond. Formed in 1998 by flutist Laura Thompson, Zephyr originally concentrated on classical music for flute and strings, later branching out into pop and jazz literature arranged for the group by Ms. Thompson.
Zephyr members are classically trained, with degrees in music performance from the top conservatories in New York, and they now enjoy careers in music as varied as classical orchestral musician, Latin Jazz innovator, and early music specialist.
In high demand over the summer months and into the fall, the trio has performed on beaches, in gardens and country clubs, as well as in traditional church settings, for a variety of different events. A repertoire list is available upon request.
